Wanna make something really interesting happen in Dallas? Idea Engine is offering you the chance to make it a reality. Have you wondered what it would be like if technology, business acumen, and creativity joined forces and brought all expertise to bear in the same place? This is the primary goal of Idea Engine (IE). They’ve already been hosting meetings with diverse speakers at the Common Desk. But IE now needs a home of its own. A home where you can feel safe to play, nurture your idea, flex your brain, learn. IE will be open 24/7 with resources and tools for you to stretch your mind, ply your trade, whatever works for you.
They’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign, for them to make-ready their already-selected new home in Deep Ellum. Your contribution will help with the first year of operations, after which it will become a self-sustaining organization. There are several donation levels available. And since IE is a fiscally sponsored 501 (c)(3) rganization, all donations are tax deductible.
They are striving for a goal of $65,000. You have until December 20th to back the project. A $15 pledge will get you access to some upcoming classes, such as How Graphic Novels Grew Up (Nov 29th) and Kick-Ass Community Building (Dec 6th).
Dallas has needed something like this for a while now. So, get on board and make it happen!
