Need Fresh Ideas? There’s Something New In Deep Ellum

by

Perhaps you’re struggling with coming up with an idea to bring to Startup Weekend. You’re not alone. You could stare out the window and wait for some inspiration. Or you could turn to a new place we just heard about called Idea Engine, opening soon in the Deep Ellum area. If you run in the same circles all the time, the likelihood of creating fresh new ideas tends to diminish. So the concept is bring together people with different backgrounds with knowledge and talent in the arts, technology, economics, and business, in order to encourage collaboration through occasional workshops, speaking sessions, and informal meetups. Whew! That was a mouthful!

Idea Engine aims to encourage not only the creation of ideas, but the energy and passion to actually do something about them. Their 1st session, titled How Something Comes From Nothing, is coming up October 17th. Currently they’re meeting at the latest co-working facility, Common Desk. But they’re looking to have their own space by the end of the year. For more info, you can contact Madelynn Martiniere at madelynn@theideaengine.org.
So check it out, then take your new brilliant idea with you to our next event on November 9th.
