Mentors/Coaches for Startup Weekend Dallas

by

We will have several mentors available during our event weekend who will guide the teams and field any questions you might have. Considering that a large portion of questions asked are legal in nature, Danica Mathes and Craig Cox of Bell Nunnally, LP will able to address questions pertaining to company incorporation, IP, patent protection, etc. Phong Le is in Marketing in the Life Sciences Group at HPC. He has volunteered his expertise in biotech, nanotech, and IT. Paul Griffith is a Senior Director of Corporate Business Development at AOL, Inc. His experience in many of the AOL portfolio companies, as well as Search, Distribution, Local, and Mapping will serve the SW teams well. And Paul is a SW Dallas veteran. He’s been there. He know what it’s all about. Maybe he’ll share some interesting stories about past events. Brad Kendall will be visiting us from the Great White North. He’ll be coming all the way from Winnipeg to bless us with his IT talents and passion for entrepreneurship. Don’t tell him this, but uh, a Canadian team did NOT win the Stanley Cup this year…again. Amrit Kirpalani is founder of a predictive social commerce company called Nectar Online Media, which operates several web properties, including BuyerHive and Zuuzs. He loves commerce, data analytics, and social media — topics which we’re quite certain many of you will be pitching on Friday night.

And one more thing. The mentors have agreed to make themselves available during various time slots, not necessarily for 54 hours straight. More details regarding availability will be announced as the event approaches.

And don’t forget. Less than 2 weeks left. Don’t let Father’s Day weekend cause things to get away from you and cause SW to slip your mind, forcing you to miss out on all kinds of awesomeness.
